Assessing the Pathogenic Ability of Six Species of <i>Fusarium</i> Genus on Onion Variety in Burkina Faso

Prema 178 onion variety is widely used in production Burkina Faso. It greatly appreciated but susceptible to basal rot. This study aimed evaluate the pathogenic ability of six strains Fusarium genus identified Faso on onion. Seeds, seedlings and bulbs were for test. A conidial suspension each strain was made tubes adjusted 1 × 106 conidia/ml with distilled water different tests. Germination test laboratory greenhouse showed that all treatments oxysporum f. sp. cepae, F. solani, falciforme, acutatum, proliferatum induced failure emerge a significant difference control. The also stunting rates coleoptile growth. proliferatum, falciforme solani very aggressive, as they recorded above 50% damping-off rates. revealed classified into two groups. first consists which caused rots respective lengths from 2.06; 1.48; 1.84; 1.46 2.12 cm, thus aggressive according Ghanbarzadeh scale. second formed by 0.90 cm rot length, moderately aggressive. would be appropriate suggest sustainable management method these pathogens order improve yield production.
